Nearest airports: Naples Capodichino (NAP, approx. 100 km) and Salerno Costa d'Amalfi (QSR, approx. 60 km). From Naples by train to Salerno, then on to the Cilento.
Trenitalia connects Naples and Salerno with Agropoli-Castellabate. From there continue by bus or rental car. High-speed trains from Rome to Salerno in approx. 2.5 hours.
TrenitaliaThe car is the most flexible option and allows you to explore even remote villages. Coming from the north: Autostrada A3 (Salerno–Reggio Calabria), exit Battipaglia or Petina.
Rental car recommended – many places are only accessible by car
Bring cash – not all restaurants and shops accept cards
Best travel time: May–June and September–October
Book accommodation early – especially in August
